Approach
  The Accu-Cost Touch
With the bottom line as the driving force of every job undertaken, we provide accuracy within tight schedules by keeping tabs on costs, hands-on involvement and drawing on over 100 years of combined experience.
It is the feeling of Accu-Cost that each project be examined independently for its uniqueness and constraints. Our estimates are custom tailored, rather then a result of built-in data factor. We utilize an Excel Spreadsheet program to document, format and summarize our estimate. Our data is based on our past and on-going experience. This data is constantly updated through current projects, by working with various construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors and calling material suppliers. We combine these factors to provide a cost estimate the reflects the design and todays market conditions.
Conceptual / Schematic Design Phase — Accu-Cost develops a cost model in Systems Format, which identifies costs targeted for each category, eg: foundations, substructures, exterior wall, HVAC, and electrical.
Design Development Phase — A new cost model is developed and refined in detail as required. If the cost model should deviate from the projected budget, a flag is raised, and we work with the architects and engineers as a team in taking corrective actions.
Construction Documents Phase — Accu-Cost prepares detailed cost estimates in the same format as a contractor bids. The purpose is two-fold; it confirms the project is on budget and provides an invaluable tool for comparing bids as they are received
